Australian National Conference on Resources and Energy

17 September 2012

The inaugural Australian National Conference on Resources and Energy (ANCRE), at the National Convention Centre in Canberra, starts on Tuesday 18 September 2012 and runs for two days.

Organised by the Bureau of Resources and Energy Economics, ANCRE will bring together policy makers, industry leaders, academics and international experts to present and discuss domestic and global issues critical to the future of the Australian resources and energy sectors. ANCRE 2012 is the only national conference on resources and energy sponsored and organised by the Australian Federal Government.

The Hon Martin Ferguson AM, Minister for Resources and Energy, will open the conference with a keynote address on the issues currently facing the mining industry. Following this opening speech, the September 2012 Resources and Energy Quarterly from the Bureau of Resources and Energy Economics will be released and made available in hard copy form to conference participants.

Conference attendees will have the opportunity to hear from an impressive list of speakers, including industry leaders and experts from government, academia and the private sector, in keynotes, panel presentations and panel discussion.
